The fortunes of the writer whom Anne Tyler has compared to Jane Austen, Barbara Pym and Elizabeth Bowen — “soul sisters all,” in Tyler’s words — are suddenly looking up.
At this point, we only have five of Elizabeth Taylor’s books in our Clackamas County Library Cooperative, but rest assured I am buying as many of her books as I can track down.
